Christmas Part 2

Well Christmas at the Johnson household didn't go quite as planned given about 12 inches of snow managed to dump down just in time for the holidays. It definitely caused us to have a little change of plans! We were originally planning to celebrate just the three of us on Christmas morning, but because of the pending storm we opened gifts Christmas Eve right before church.
Jacie going to town...her motivation was not what was inside the box, but rather the opportunity to shove the paper in her mouth!!!
Oh...it's just clothes! :)

She isn't my daughter at all!!! :)

Jacie picked out this great set of blocks for daddy for Christmas...I am not quite sure who will enjoy them more, Jacie or Daddy...it is a definite toss up!

After church we headed over to my parent's house for our annual Christmas Eve celebration. We had a nice evening and opened gifts, but unfortunately it was cut short because TJ had to go out and push snow...TOTAL BUMMER! By this time it was dumping down and luckily we packed an extra set of clothes so we could just camp out at Tom and Thea's!

Jacie didn't care about the storm...she was content eating her puffs and sporting her cute bib from Grandma Jo.

The whole crew...we just keep growing!

Good thing Santa always knows where to find you, he brought Jace this adorable chair. She looks so cute sitting in it!

Getting a photo with her and Hannah is always a challenge...this was the best we could do! :)

We got up Christmas morning in hopes that we could make it to Grandma and Grandpa Weinandt's...but no such luck. The roads where horrible and we did not want to risk it with J-Bear. We hunkered down and had prime rib at my parents...good thing they where prepared. We had hoped to get home that night...but no such luck yet again, the 6 foot drifts on our street kept us from making it home. Finally the plows came through the evening of the 26th.

Since we missed Christmas in Fremont we did brunch on Sunday morning. Jacie wasn't spoiled at all! Look at all of these toys!!!

More to come...once we head up north for part three!!!

Christmas has begun!

This past weekend we kicked off the month long Christmas marathon we have at the Johnson household. First stop was Manning, Iowa to see my grandma and cousins. It was Jacie's first official Christmas celebration and the first time she has opened a gift! :) Of course all she cared about was eating the box and wrapping paper. We are definitely looking forward to all of the celebrations to come. Here are a few of our favorite photos from the first!

Jacie and her second cousins: Jenna, Hanna, and McKenna

Who needs presents when we have boxes???

We had to make a trip to the mall to visit Santa. J didn't really know what to think, she didn't seem to mind Santa at all! :)

6 Month Photos

We had Jacie's 6 month photos taken at the house again. Here are some of my favorites, you can view the rest on our photo site: http://picasaweb.google.com/prestonjohnson/Jacie6MonthsNovember2009#

Happy Turkey Day

Here are a few cute photos from our holiday. We where lucky enough to have both Preston's family and the Weinandt's from Minnesota in town. It was an awesome weekend...and a great first Thanksgiving for Jace! :)

Hanging with her cousin, they are already trouble. I took the camera case away from Jacie and Lucas went and got it and gave it back to her. I can only imagine what it is going to be like when they get older! :)
Jacie and the other Lucas! They are going to love it when they are older and they see that Erin and I tried to dress them alike all the time! :)

Uncle Billy gave Jace this adorable Turkey bib.
Little cousin Noah arrived on Nov. 17...what a sweetie

Mommy's Birthday...ugh!

Hard to believe that I am 26 these days...officially closer to 30 than 20...yikes! :) Anyways, I had to take my first business trip right before my birthday. I went out to Kansas City over night and surely missed my little girl like crazy. The good part was that I got to see Zachary. He drove to KC to meet me for dinner which was so nice. By November we where definitely missing him. I knew he was missing Jace so we took these pictures before I went on my trip and I gave them to him while I was there. They made him smile! :)

She is just getting so darn big and is so fun to play with.

She loves her Aunt Hil! Rosie and Hilary where sweet enough to make the trip to Omaha for my Birthday weekend. We had such a nice time.
I got a nice big smooch from my girl when I got home from my trip! :)
...and we played...
...and giggled...
...and had tons of fun!
Jacie and Hannah-banana have become very good friends these days. Hannah is very tollerant!
The night of my Birthday we went out for dinner and to a karoake bar...TJ and Katie sang me happy birthday, it was a riot! :)
