Jacie's First Road Trip!

This week has been a big week for Jacie...she went on her first road trip. On Sunday we took off for the Twin Cities to visit family and friends. Jacie was sooooo good on the car ride. She slept the entire way with one stop to feed her at the half way point. Our cousin Hilary was moving into her new house this weekend so we decided to drop by and surprise her. That was our first stop in town.

Great Auntie Rosie got her this adorable outfit and hat so she was happy to see she was wearing it!

She loves hanging out in her boppy.

Kim wasn't quite sure what to think...she hasn't been around many babies!!!! :)
Aren't they cute...David was very into the whole baby thing!
and so was Jordan...he brought her a cute little giraffe toy and an adorably duck towl.
Our first night in town we met Barry and Brenna at Burger Jones. The food was great...dad ate the white trash burger which was topped with fried cheese curds and batter fried bacon...GROSS!
Uncle Paul dropped by since he was leaving for Germany the next day and won't be back until Christmas. He had never held a baby before, but we gave him no choice with Jacie...I just put her in his arms.

While in the cities we stayed with my cousin Erin. Lucas William is just two weeks old so he and Jacie are only three weeks apart. We are very confident the two of them will be as close as Erin and I where growing up. It was so fun to see the two of them together and also so fun for Erin and I to get to hang out with our new little bundles. We had such a nice time with Erin, Judd, and Lucas.

Proud Grandpa Billy!

Who can resist baby feet!!!

Jacie makes Lucas look like such a like such a little peanut. We all thought she was small, but not compared to him!

One of our nights in town we went over to Barry's and invited a bunch of friends to come and meet Jacie. We had a really nice time, it was great to get to show her off. I love this picture...it is Barry and Jacie having a little quiet time in the rocker. Barry was telling Jacie stories about her mom...that is trouble!!!
Such cuties!

We are off to Grandpa and Grandma Johnson's next, so more pictures to come...

Trip to the Zoo

This week Jacie had her first visit to the zoo.  She slept through most of it surprise, surprise! :)  Grandma Thea had a get together for work out there so Spencer, Jax and Emma came along too.  It was about 70 degrees so the weather was perfect...we had a very nice day.

Sporting her stylish Pumas!!!

Another Busy Week

We have had another great week. Jacie has been sleeping about 3-4 solid hours a night which isn't so bad. She usually goes right back to sleep after that so both mom and dad have been getting a decent amount of sleep. She had her doctor's appointment last Monday and weighed 8lb. 7oz. so she is clearly being fed well!!! Overall she is such a good baby. I have uploaded a bunch of pics from the week...we had several more firsts for her.

Last weekend our friend Mark was traveling through Omaha for work and stopped for a visit. It was great to see him, especially since he couldn't come with Kari the week before. He did great with holding Jacie...what a natural! :)

Hannah...her new best friend. Whenever we do tummy time Hannah thinks she needs to cuddle up. I am sure it won't be long and Jacie will be climbing all over her.

Chillin in her Boppy!
Jacie's first wedding....her Great Uncle Tony and Great Aunt Dawn got married this Friday. Jacie looked so adorable in her little white dress. She slept through the entire cermony and was so good. After the dinner we where lucky enough to have Grandma Katie and Great Aunt Rosie in town so they could babysit and mom and dad could enjoy a night out. We had a really nice time at the wedding, it was a beautiful day.

Her first festival...and she slept through all of that too! On Sunday the St. Pat's Festival was going on in Fremont. We took Grandma Katie and Great Aunt Rosie to the festival and had a nice time. It was a little cool outside, but we where troopers. We even enjoyed the homeade ice cream.
This week Preston officially earned his ASA. We where very excited that his name finally appeared on the list after all the exams and studying. His work sent this adorable cookie bouquet for us to enjoy...and we definitely did. The cookies where delicious. Jacie and I are very proud of Preston...he has worked very hard and is already on to studying for his next set of exams.

Jacie's First Photoshoot

When Jacie was just four days old we had a photographer come to the house and take pictures of her. They turned out sooooo cute! I met Lara Hanlon, our photographer back in the fall at a golf outing for work. At the time I had just found out I was pregnant and Lara told me that she did photography on the side. I made sure to get her card and contacted her right before Jacie was born to set up our pictures. The photos where a gift from Grandpa and Grandma Johnson for our first Mother's Day and Father's Day...which was extremely generous. Below are a bunch of my favorites...but you can check out all the photos on our Picasa site: http://picasaweb.google.com/prestonjohnson/JacieClairePhotographerPhotos
