Has it really been two months!?!?!

Jacie had her two month dr. appointment today and her first set of shots. Even after getting three shots she still has a smile on her face! :) She has her little Dora bandaid on her chunky thigh. Her check-up was great...she is in perfect health. She weights 11 lb. 1.5 ounces (50th percentile) and she is 23.5 inches long which is the 90th percentile. She is going to be a tall girl, there is no doubt!!! The pediatrician said we are doing things right and that she is right on track, which is always nice to hear. We are now working on trying to get her interested in rolling over. Unfortunately she LOVES being on her tummy so whenever we lay her that way she just lays her head down and wants to go to sleep. In time I am sure she will get the hang of it though.

Our Trip to Bowling Green

From the lake Jacie, my mom and I made a trip to Bowling Green, MO to visit Jacie's Great Aunt Theresa and her cousins Cale and Maddy. Maddy completely fell in love with Jacie and definitely did not want us to leave. We relaxed a lot while we where there and we also got to go see Cale get his double blue belt in Karate. It was really a great time!

She was passed out!!! Maddy was a great babysitter.

Cale checking Jacie out from afar...he didn't want to hold her because he thought she might make him stink...he is pretty entertaining! :)

A week at the lake

We took our annual vacation to the Lake of the Ozarks with the Weinandt clan this past week. The McKenna's where kind enough to lend us their home for the week. We had an amazing time relaxing by the pool and soaking up the sun. Jacie has become quite the exceptional traveller. She is such a good baby!

Jacie and GG taking a snooze
Jacie went for her first swim. We waited until it was shady and we took her in the pool. I got her this cute little swimsuit that covered her arms so she wouldn't get a sunburn. She really didn't know what to think...she just kind of had this puzzled look on her face the entire time....but she never cried at all. What a cutie!

One evening we rented a boat and Uncle Zach took us for a ride!
Jacie chillin in the bumbo with her shades...she is so darn cute I can hardly stand it.

Relaxing with Uncle T....Jacie LOVES her uncles.

Family photo-op

Jacie discovered the TV at the Lake...she is just hanging with dad watching TV.

Preston is an ASA!!!

Preston recently got word that he has officially received his ASA. He has the initials behind his name and all! :) We are so excited that he is one step closer to being done with all of his testing. He is already on to the the next exam and is studying quite a bit. He will take the next test in November. In total he has 4 exams and two modules to complete before he is completely finished.
Preston's aunt Dolorah sent him this beautiful piece of blown glass congratulating him on his accomplishment. We have it in our living room sitting on top of the runner we got in Venice on our honeymoon. It looks great!

Happy Fourth of July

Jacie had to celebrate the Fourth of July two days in a row because she had two Fourth of July outfits that where adorable. We couldn't let one go to waste! Daddy had Friday off so we went to Aunt Amy and Uncle Zach's house...with every intention of relaxing by the pool. Unfortunately it was cold and rainy all day so instead we just hung out and grilled for dinner. It was a nice and relaxing day!

Great Aunt Stacie and my second cousins Jenna, Hanna, and McKenna gave me this adorable outfit!

Cousin Emma is reading me The Foot Book. She even let me borrow her fish pillow to lay on.

Spenc rocking Jacie!

Elmo had to check out Jacie too!

Jax and Jacie snuggling on the couch.

How cute is she? Great Aunt Rosie gave her this adorable dress for the 4th before she was even born. It looked so cute on her. The actual 4th of July was also rainy and cold. We went over to Grandpa and Grandma Weinandt's and grilled out with a bunch of friends and family. We sat in the back and watched fireworks. Jacie had a very fun-filled day and she was tuckered out by the end of it!

More Adventures

After coming back from an 8 day trip we had a busy week of selting back into our normal routine. Jacie is growing so fast and learning so many new things, she is just more and more fun each and every day...we love her so much!
Jacie got this Bumbo seat from her Great-Great Aunt Cathy and Uncle Bill. We decided she was finally big enough to sit in it...doesn't she look soooooooooo cute in it!!!!

She is all smiles all the time these days...we love it!

Taking a nap with Uncle T - they where sound asleep!

It was Jax and Emma's 5th Birthday and they had a pool party...it was Jacie's first Birthday party. Too bad she slept in the chair with Uncle T through the majority of it!

More smiles - she is in this phase where when she is awake she would rather not be held. She is content just playing on the floor and smiling and cooing at us.

We where so excited that cousin Lucas came to visit...we are getting spoiled since we got to see him in Minneapolis too. Erin and Judd made the trip on Friday and stayed until Sunday. We had such a nice time with them again!

Now that she is big enough to take a bath in her tub she loves it. She looks so darn cute in there.

Jacie went to her first baseball game on Sunday. Grandpa Tom and Uncles T & Z coach the Gladiator 14's team and they where playing for the State Championship. They won State and we where there to cheer them on.

Uncle Zach came over tonight to hang out with Jacie and I because Daddy had to do some studying. We watched the Bachelorette and played...Jacie loves her Uncles!!!

To Grandpa and Grandma's House we go!

Before we took off to Grandpa and Grandma Johnson's we spent the day at Auntie Hilary's new house. Jacie and Hilary got to snuggle all morning. We had a really nice time!

Next stop was the farm where Jacie got to meet her Great Grandparents and hang out with cousin Lucas. He was so good with Jacie...he gave her lots of kisses and even was sharing his thumb in this picture! :)

Grandpa and Grandma Johnson put in a swing set this year for the grandkids so we had to break it in. Jacie liked swinging with Grandma.

Here are the big kids swinging on the new swing set!

I thought this was so cute, Grandma and Lucas playing the piano.

We celebrated Daddy's first Father's Day at the farm. He is giving Jacie a kiss thanking her for his picture frame and Willow Tree. Mommy got Daddy tickets to Coldplay for Father's Day which was really fun.

Grandma and Jacie taking a nap!

Overall we had a fantastic trip...it was so nice to spend time with family.

Jacie's First Road Trip!

This week has been a big week for Jacie...she went on her first road trip. On Sunday we took off for the Twin Cities to visit family and friends. Jacie was sooooo good on the car ride. She slept the entire way with one stop to feed her at the half way point. Our cousin Hilary was moving into her new house this weekend so we decided to drop by and surprise her. That was our first stop in town.

Great Auntie Rosie got her this adorable outfit and hat so she was happy to see she was wearing it!

Jacie checking out Great Aunt Rosie

She loves hanging out in her boppy.

Kim wasn't quite sure what to think...she hasn't been around many babies!!!! :)
Aren't they cute...David was very into the whole baby thing!
and so was Jordan...he brought her a cute little giraffe toy and an adorably duck towl.
Our first night in town we met Barry and Brenna at Burger Jones. The food was great...dad ate the white trash burger which was topped with fried cheese curds and batter fried bacon...GROSS!
Uncle Paul dropped by since he was leaving for Germany the next day and won't be back until Christmas. He had never held a baby before, but we gave him no choice with Jacie...I just put her in his arms.

While in the cities we stayed with my cousin Erin. Lucas William is just two weeks old so he and Jacie are only three weeks apart. We are very confident the two of them will be as close as Erin and I where growing up. It was so fun to see the two of them together and also so fun for Erin and I to get to hang out with our new little bundles. We had such a nice time with Erin, Judd, and Lucas.

Proud Grandpa Billy!

Who can resist baby feet!!!

Jacie makes Lucas look like such a like such a little peanut. We all thought she was small, but not compared to him!

One of our nights in town we went over to Barry's and invited a bunch of friends to come and meet Jacie. We had a really nice time, it was great to get to show her off. I love this picture...it is Barry and Jacie having a little quiet time in the rocker. Barry was telling Jacie stories about her mom...that is trouble!!!
Such cuties!

We are off to Grandpa and Grandma Johnson's next, so more pictures to come...
