We can't believe it has been one week!

Neither Preston or I can believe that little miss Jacie J is already one week old. Time has flown by and things seem to be getting easier and easier. We are noticing she is spending more time awake which is fun, and she is sleeping better each and every night. Right now she goes about every 2.5 - 3 hours which is definitely managable between the two of us. I do the feeding and Preston is the master at getting her back to sleep.

We went to the doctor and she is back up to 7lb 6oz, she had gained 5oz since her Monday appointment so clearly she is getting plenty to eat! :) We are just trying to enjoy every minute with her, which is pretty easy since she is so darn sweet. Thanks to everyone for the cards, flowers, and gifts. We really appreciate it. Also, if you want to drop in and visit just let us know in advance, we love to show her off! Enjoy all the pics and I will keep updating everyone.

Quite the proud Grandparents!

Fast asleep on the boppy

She loves to snuggle up with her daddy

Time to go home! We put her in her car seat and she crashed. We where definitley ready to get out of the hospital and get all settled at home. It was great because Great Aunt Rosie and Auntie Hilary where at home waiting for us. Grandpa and Grandma Johnson met us at the hospital and came to our place as well. It was great having their help that first night...and they cooked some fantastic meals. We definitely appreciated the help.

Her first time in the swing, she seemed to like it.

Grandpa and Grandma Johnson - we where so grateful that they made the trip from Wisconsin to meet Jacie right away!

Life is tough as a baby!

Meeting Hannah for the first time - our poor pup still has no idea what she is in for! She has done really well with Jacie so far. She is definitely curious, but just sniffs and walks away. She also seems to be pretty protective...she comes running whenever Jacie cries.

Auntie Rachel gave Jacie this adorable outfit, I think she looks so cute in it.

SOOOO tired!

I think this is my favorite so far.

Daddy's co-worker Deby sent this adorable headband. Even Dad admits this is so stinkin cute, and that is huge since he is not so into all the girly stuff! :)

I'm thinking maybe we need to just have her in the car seat at night since this is pretty much what happens every time we put her in it!

  1. We have the same carseat...love it! Great minds think alike. I'm so excited for you and Preston. I can't believe you're parents, but you're going to be great at it! :) Makes me feel old. ;) Hope you're well. Mandi
